Island SUP Sessions

  • Individuals to have completed ‘Introduction to SUP’ before joining club sessions (other experience considered). Please contact us to arrange your first lesson with our SUP school.


Members of Island SUP will benefit from the following:


  • A monthly session – this will be one of the following:
  • SUP Social
  • SUP Surf
  • Adventure SUP

Events will last approximately 2 hours. To attend the above sessions members must have the appropriate skills and experience.

This session will be free to Island SUP members.  Children are welcome to join the SUP Social providing that they are supervised by a parent/guardian. Non-members are welcome to attend (please see individual events for donations required to Island SUP Club).


  • Club Nights: April - October
    • Weekly Club Night (£5 per session members/ £8 per session non-members)
    • Monday – Adult Session
    • The adult session will be split for Level 1 6PM - 7PM (beginners/social paddlers) and Level 2 7.15PM - 8.15PM (intermediate/advanced).
    • Thursday – Youth Session Term Time Only (8 - 16 years old, adults are welcome to paddle with youth for free at their own risk)
    • We are currently running one session 6 - 7PM. 


These sessions will include SUP skill development in order to improve technique, touring ability, fitness and race skills and will last approximately 1 hour. 

Due to tidal movement the sessions will alternate between Jackson’s Bay, Whitmore Bay and the Barry Community Water Activity Centre (April - October).
